The third UAE Public Policy Forum will take place in Dubai in January 2019, the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, MBRSG, announced.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, the upcoming Forum, titled ‘Accelerating SDGs Implementation: Future Policy Roadmap', will take place 27th-28th January 2019.
The two-day event is being hosted in conjunction with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority, FCSA,will gather together experts and specialists from different disciplines around the world to discuss how best to meet sustainable development objectives in light of the innovations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The UAE Public Policy Forum 2019 will address future impacts, policies, challenges and prospects for sustainable development in the UAE. It will discuss how to best formulate strategic action plans that can achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, at the local level, including those contained within the National Agenda for UAE Vision 2021.

Dr. Al Marri explained that each year the UAE Public Policy Forum presents a new topic of discussion with several themes to be discussed through a series of panel discussions. He revealed that the forthcoming third edition of the forum will focus on SDGs set by the UN, with participants benefiting from reviewing the best practices and global achievements in the field of sustainable development.
Dr. Al Marri highlighted that the forum is also an opportunity to support researchers and decision-makers in the UAE and the governments of the region, assisting them in the drawing up of effective policies across various fields and sectors that will contribute to building the sustainable societies of the future.
