Saeed Mohammed Al Nabouda, Acting Director General of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) — the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts, heritage and literature — has honoured 20 of the Authority’s employees for obtaining the ‘Internal Auditor for Quality Management System’ (ISO 9001:2015) certificate.
The honour followedDubai Culture’s completion of the periodic review requirements, which involved upgrade the Authority’s sustainable development process in accordance with its strategy and plans.The exercise is part of the Authority’s ongoing plan to train and qualify its employees, and attract increasing numbers of national employees in line with the improving performance of UAE cadres.
Praising the efforts of the employees, Saeed Al Nabouda said: “We are proud of our colleagues, who constantly strive to improve the Authority's operations by strengthening their own skills and performance. This helps us to provide the best services and develop our internal capacities to better serve the cultural, arts, heritage and literature sectors in Dubai. To achieve this goal, we provide our employees with all the support they need to obtain prestigious certificates and achieve outstanding performance levels that reflect positively on the Authority’saspirations, initiatives and projects.”
Dubai Culture established the ISO 9001:2015 quality management and audit team to drive the development and adoption of processes and documents across all sectors in the Authority, and to implement development and improvement plans in accordance with the requirements of the certificate.
The implementation of the ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system aims at codifying, simplifying and linking the administrative activities that organise the documented processes through which the vision and objectives of the Authority are achieved. It also contributes to enhancing customer happiness, developing an effective system of operations and legislation, and improving staff performance.
Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
