These include renewable energy, smart grids, energy efficiency, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen and data analysis.

During the meeting, Al Tayer highlighted DEWA’s efforts to achieve the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world. He also highlighted DEWA’s projects to achieve the objectives of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 to generate 75% of Dubai’s total power output from clean energy by 2050, and its efforts to build effective partnerships and exchange best international practices with the finest research institutes.
