Emirates Islamic Supports The 22nd Edition Of The Dubai International Holy Quran Award
(24 April 2018)

Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, today announced a renewed partnership with Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) in support of its 22nd edition.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, DIHQA is set to receive more than 100 participants from Islamic countries and Muslim communities around the world.

Emirates Islamic's support to the DIHQA for the sixth consecutive year is in keeping with the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan, and in celebration of the Year of Zayed.

"His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is the founder of this prestigious award. We thank God, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed for making the DIHQA the world's first Holy Quran award that recognises Quran reciters and memorisers," said Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Head of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) Organising Committee.

"Every year, we welcome contributions from government and private institutions to support our activities and competitions throughout the year. We thank the leaders of Emirates Islamic for their continued support for the sixth consecutive year, and are confident that the partnership will add significant value to the bank's ongoing community initiatives," added Melha.

Awatif Al Harmoodi, General Manager, Operational Governance, Emirates Islamic said: "We are very delighted to support the Dubai international Holy Quran Award in its 22nd edition, which is in line with our commitment to spread and promote the teachings of Islam, and encourage Quran recitation and memorisation. At Emirates Islamic, we are always keen to help spread Islam's message of peace and generosity, as well as promote community participation across the UAE and the region."

The Dubai International Holy Quran Award is given by the government of the UAE to memorizers of the Holy Quran nominated by Islamic Institutes or by their respective countries.
