Jumeirah Group has reiterated its full support for the country’s Emiratisation drive in the hospitality sector as per the directives of the UAE’s leadership to open career paths and create jobs in all sectors for Emirati citizens.
The group, which is committed to cementing Dubai’s position as a leading global tourist destination, employs 340 Emirati citizens across various departments. About 24 percent of the Emirati workforce in Jumeirah Group occupy top executive positions. The group prides itself on being the first to offer the position of a ‘Director General’ to an Emirati.
In 2017, the number of Emirati citizens who joined Jumeirah Group reached 83, making the group the biggest Emirati employer in the UAE hospitality sector. The group’s Emiratisation record won it the recognition of the 'Best Employer in the UAE' from Aon Hewitt, a leading global human resource consulting firm.
Since 2010, Jumeirah Group has launched a series of initiatives and programmes aimed at training Emirati personnel and honing their skills to prepare them to work in the hospitality sector. The programmes include ‘UAE National Future Leaders Programme’ and the ‘National Graduate Management Programme.’ Furthermore, the Jumeirah Group provides a scholarship programme and supports the career development of Emiratis in many aspects.
