The Arabia CSR Awards, the region’s leading benchmark in sustainability has received close to 50 applications since its launch in January 17th. This is a testament of the Awards prestige which it has rightfully earned as a result of the heightened transparency and stringent standards applied in the selection criteria of winners. The Awards boasts a comprehensive application form that integrates the principles and frameworks of United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the EFQM Model. With 12 categories including sector specific construction, hospitality, social enterprise, financial services and healthcare, the awards provide organisations with the opportunity to reflect their sustainability Journey while paying homage to responsible champions and is a genuine added value to the region’s sustainable development.
To further support current and prospect applicants, the Arabia CSR Network is hosting an event on April 9th. Known as the Awards Clinic, this event aims to elaborate on the awards’ key aspects, such as the methodology of applying to the award, how to answer the questions and fulfill the criteria, what kind of evidence should be provided, and so on. The audience will have the opportunity to direct their queries and benefit from the insights offered. This clinic will come at no cost to registered applicants as a value added.
The Arabia CSR Awards is the only platform of its kind to be founded by an organisation in the Arab world and gain the blessings from the UAE leadership, league of Arab States as well as the support of the United Nations Global Compact from inception and a continuing strategic collaboration with United Nations Environment Programme. Its objective is to alleviate indigenous knowledge and sustainability performance to global standards and best practices for the region’s prosperity.
The deadline for submission of applications is the 10th of June. Jury evaluation will commence after that and an awarding ceremony will be held on the 3rd of October to reward the winners.
