Global Village, the region's first multicultural festival park, and a family destination for culture, shopping and entertainment saw an unprecedented guest turnout with more than 110,000 guests attending on Friday, March 30th.
International pop superstar Liam Payne regaled audiences, performing his global hits including Bedroom Floor, Strip That Down and more at the Main Cultural Stage as part of the Global Village Season 22 weekly concerts series.
Payne's fans started attending Global Village in the morning eagerly waiting to meet their favorite star and thousands have gathered at the front of the stage from the time of opening at 4pm until concert commenced at 9pm, with many fun filled celebrations and shows taking place by Global Village's entertainment team.
Season 22 at Global Village has been its most successful in hosting the biggest concerts in the region. Superstars from around the world have performed this season and provided amazing experiences to millions of guests.
Liam Payne is a platinum recording artist with tracks that have ranked 3rd on the UK charts and 10th on the Billboard Hot 100. He is a solo artist, but rose to stardom as a member of One Direction, one of the biggest boy bands in history. He has released several singles as a solo artist and in collaboration with others such as Zedd and Rita Ora, crossing 300 million views on YouTube. Liam is also known as an active member of charities that empower children and young adults. He supports UNICEF and is an ambassador for Trekstock, and Comic Relief.
