Global Village, the region's first multicultural festival park, and a family destination for culture, shopping and entertainment, announced its preparation to host of a live concert for Liam Payne, a platinum recording artist with singles that ranked 3rd on the UK charts and 10th on the Billboard Hot 100, to perform on its Main Cultural Stage for the first time as a solo artist after rising to fame from being a member of one of the biggest boy bands in history, One Direction. The concert will take place on Friday, 30thMarch 2018 starting at 9:00 pm at the Main Cultural Stage part of Global Village weekly concert series in Season 22.
The destination has shown great success in hosting the biggest concerts in the region with most iconic stars from around the world over the seasons, and became a popular concerts destinations for both UAE residents and tourists, providing unique family oriented atmosphere and amazing concerts experiences to millions of its guests throughout the seasons all included in its AED 15 entry tickets.
Liam Payne has released several singles that got recognized internationally with artists such as Zedd and Rita Ora, with views reaching over 300 million on YouTube. Besides his singing career, Liam is known to be an active member of several charities that aim to empower children and young adults. He is a keen supporter of UNICEF, ambassador for Trekstock, and Comic Relief. A rising solo career leads him to multiple nominations and awards in several categories such as The Global Special Awards, Best British Artist or Group at The Global Awards, iHeartRadio Awards and the Brit Awards.
Season 22 of Global Village has witnessed concerts by some of the most popular and adored singers and artists from across the world. Fans have appreciated the amazing performances and the incredible atmosphere that the concerts bring and have attended in ever increasing numbers. The Global Village concert series continues with a performance that starts every Friday at 9 pm at its signature Main Cultural Stage, which has seen a series of sound and video effects improvements to create an atmosphere of unparalleled celebration with a specially designated area for ladies and children in front of it. RTA Busses are also available in four different routes to deliver guests to and from Global Village along with RTA Taxis station.
All concerts are included in the price of Global Village's entry tickets for AED 15 and they can be purchased online through Global Village website (www.globalvillage.ae) and mobile application (Global Village Dubai) or directly at the ticket counters and tickets vending machines at both the main entrances of Global Village.
