ENOC Group yesterday hosted a youth forum in partnership with the Dubai Youth Council, which engaged young adults on career prospects and insights on the future of the energy market.
Held at the Youth Hub in Emirates Towers, 25 young adults took part in discussions and workshops that addressed topics including the future beyond oil and gas, mobility, service delivery and career aspirations.
Meeting with and hearing from ENOC experts, participants from the Dubai Youth Council explored prospects around the evolution of the energy sector, diversifying government revenue streams beyond oil and gas, upskilling amidst an evolving energy landscape, as well as expectations from an oil and gas employer.
His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO, ENOC, said: “Today’s youth are the future energy leaders and we believe engaging them as agents of change empowers them for their future roles and strengthens their leadership and contribution to building and sustaining the UAE’s energy sector.”
Saeed AlNazari, Executive Director of the Youth Office, said: “The cooperation between the Youth Centre and UAE government and private entities yields initiatives and activities that enhance young people’s knowledge in various disciplines, which is in line with the Youth National Agenda and complements our efforts to achieve the UAE vision 2021 and the centennial 2071.”
The session is part of ENOC’s strategy to empower youth by engaging and encouraging their development within the UAE’s energy sector.
Additionally, ENOC has developed Work Placement Programmes where the Group coordinates with local colleges and universities for the intake of UAE National students and places them for their training and development. These training programmes are designed by Talent Management in coordination with the National Development Programme.
