Hundreds of cycling enthusiasts joined the 'Town Square Dubai Cycling Challenge' organised by Town Square, the trendy master-planned community, in partnership with the UAE Cycling Federation.
The 60 kilometre race started at 7am with participation in five categories for a total prize money of AED 110,000. Town Square served as the start and end-points for the challenge, as enthusiastic cyclists took to the track in the first of many such events to be hosted in the master-planned community.
Town Square had earlier supported the UAE Torque Cycling team, highlighting its focus on promoting an active lifestyle. Town Square has now come to life with the handover of the Zahra Townhouses.

Town Square brings a 'live at your price' value proposition, and is anchored by a central square, the size of 16 football fields, as well as a range of lifestyle choices including Vida Town Square Dubai hotel and a Reel Cinemas cineplex.
The 750-acre (31 million sq ft) development also has green walking trails, cycling tracks, swimming pools, interactive water features, sports and skate parks, and adventure zones, to promote an active outdoor lifestyle among residents.
Town Square is located in New Dubai in close proximity to Arabian Ranches Golf Course, Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club and Al Maktoum International Airport. It will feature over 3,000 townhouses and over 18,000 apartments as well as substantial retail, hospitality and commercial space.
