Fashion Express is a new in-mall concept that combines the very popular ‘flash mob’ with a ‘pop up’ fashion show to create an exclusive event that serves as a fashionable entertainment event in the store. This roaming flash mob will host a fashion team, dancers, DJ, and an in-store fashion show for participating outlets. It will also offer customers multiple opportunities to win by participating in competitions. This event will launch on the first day of the Apparel and Fashion Theme of DSF 2016 on 15-16 January at Dubai Festival City Mall, and from 22-23 January at Ibn Battuta Mall. On 23 January, the impressive Burj Khalifa will be a canvas to high-street fashion. Finally, Meena Bazaar will see a showcase of wedding ensembles following an Indian musical band on 25 January 2016. It’s going to be the most fashionable week of the year.

The Hindi theatrical play Humsafar is a story about relationships featuring poetry by famous lyricist Gulzar. See thelighthearted and touching production at 7.30pm on 22 and 23 January 2016 at Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre (DUCTAC). Ages 18 and above may be admitted. For the 14th consecutive year, an evening of poetry will take place during Dubai Shopping Festival in celebration of Indian Republic Day.
