The Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has been named the winner of Digitisation Award as part of the Awards of Entrepreneur Middle East Magazine; an affiliate of the USA-based BNC Group. Awards were distributed during a ceremony held recently at St. Regis Hotel, Dubai. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said, "The award is indicative of RTA’s efforts in digitisation. It is reflected in adopting high-level services, utilising digital technologies, and introducing the best techniques and global standards in various business fields. It is particularly satisfying that this sward was a result of surveys and studies commissioned by the magazine through which it had identified RTA’s efforts and pioneering digitisation drive." 

Al Tayer made this statement upon accepting the award from Abdullah Al Madani, CEO of Corporate Technology Support Services Sector; Khaled Al Awadi, Director of Automated Fare Collection; and Mohammed Al Khayat, Director of Smart Services.
