Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate's dedicated Authority for culture, arts and heritage, supported the fifth edition of the Middle East Film & Comic Con, the region largest pop cultural festival, bringing together celebrities, artists, music, art and exhibitors from across the globe.

The Middle East Film & Comic Con is one of the key activities during the month of April that fall under the umbrella of Dubai Art Season, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture).

Dubai Art season in its third edition continues to bring together a diverse array of events held across Dubai to highlight the growing cultural scene in the emirate and promote it globally.

Part of Dubai Culture participation at the Middle East Film & Comic Con 2016, was featuring a selection of vintage games at their stand allowing the visitors to play their favorite retro titles.

Once again this year, Dubai Culture highlighted its continuous support to the Artist’ Alley at Middle East Film & Comic Con reiterating its commitment to nurture the young talents by providing them with a platform to express their passion artistically.

The Middle East Film & Comic Con is considered a large-scale event for fans of comics, film and gaming entertainment and pop culture on offer in the Middle East and took place at Za'abeel Halls 4, 5 and 6 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) between 7th to 9th of April.

Featuring an array of pieces by Emirati and UAE-based artists, the Artist’ Alley allowed visitors to get up close and personal with several independent pop-culture enthusiasts and their respective collections.
