Culture Village
Culture village is a project of Dubai Properties and is intended to be a world-class destination that mixes old-world pleasures and entertainment with a modern, sophisticated ambiance.Culture Village features wide open spaces, traditional wind towers, cobble stone walkways, unique sculptures, waterways topped with bridges, creekside souks, restaurants and cafes, an amphitheater for live performances and cultural festivals, an exhibition hall and museums.
Culture Village’s master plan is divided into residential, commercial and retail zones with hospitality and entertainment sub-districts. The residential district features traditional low to medium-rise buildings offering studio, one, two, three, and four-bedroom apartments with contemporary interiors, including loft-style apartments with work areas.
The commercial district will house cultural institutions, schools, academies for art, music, dance, pottery and other crafts. World-class infrastructure and facilities will be available for each organization.
The retail district features luxury hotels, designer boutique-style restaurants and coffee shops, as well as rare book shops and art and craft galleries. A rustic traditional souk, offering Arabian crafts, antiques, and spices and herbs, will be the focal point of the retail district.
The shopping areas accommodates designer fashion boutiques, exclusive book shops, music shops, and art and craft galleries. Also adding to the charm will be a rustic souk where one can find traditional Arabian offerings ranging from spices and herbs to antiques and handmade crafts, as well as jazz bars, comedy clubs and coffee shops.
Culture Village is also an ideal place for various cultural events like magic shows, jugglers, street plays and other performances by talented artists. The place will also be the venue for all major cultural events and shows such as opera, ballet, theatre and fashion shows. It also features themed parks, waterfront restaurants and clubs.
