Twinned with wind towers, the domes and the exhilarating themeing of the Mall is a testament to the life and travels of the Arabic explorer Ibn Battuta. The six themed courts reflect Ibn Battuta’s great journeys through the Far East, Middle East and North Africa.
Ibn Battuta Mall will house the UAE’s largest cinema, Grand Cinema Megaplex. This twenty-one screen theatre will also include the very first IMAX cinema in the Emirates.

Nakheel junction to offer visitors direct access to Ibn Battuta Mall
Keeping in mind the global fact that access is critical to customer satisfaction and a shopping mall’s success, Ibn Battuta Mall, a Nakheel project, has ensured its valued customers will have easy access to the mall by building its very own interchange. The Nakheel Interchange is situated between Interchange 5 and 6 on Sheikh Zayed Road and will allow direct access to the mall.
Geant Hypermarket opens at Ibn Battuta Mall
Geant Hypermarket, the French retailing giant located at Ibn Battuta Mall, is now open to the public. Geant hypermarket is a part of the French retailing giant Groupe Casino; the hypermarket will cover a floor space of 200,000 square feet including service areas where consumers will be able to find a variety of products and services.
