flydubai doubles its network in India
Dubai based flydubai announced that its operations to Delhi, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will commence next month. flydubai will operate four weekly flights to Delhi from 01 June and three weekly flights to both Kochi and Thiruvananthapuramfrom 02/03 June respectively, bringing the total number of Indian cities served by the carrier to six, including its existing routes Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Lucknow.Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank the authorities for granting us the approval to operate these flights between Dubai and India. The two nations share a lot of historic and cultural ties and the new flights will increase the trade and tourism potential while enabling the Indian expatriate community in the UAE to travel home to visit friends and family more often."
flydubai has seen strong demand for its flights since the start of its operations to India in 2010. The carrier was set up by the Dubai Government to offer passengers convenient and reliable services and an unrivalled onboard experience and create free flows of trade and tourism in previously underserved markets.
Commenting on the launch of the three new destinations, Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President Commercial (GCC, Subcontinent, Africa) for flydubai said: "These new flights will give passengers from different regions in India direct links to Dubai, enhancing flight connectivity beyond the city to GCC countries and to destinations in Africa, Central Asia, Russia and Europe, most of which have no or very few direct links to India."
flydubai will deploy Business Class configured aircraft on all three new routes, giving passengers the option of a more personalised flying experience on the ground and in the air.
flydubai operates a fleet of 36 brand new Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 aircraft and has built a network of 74 destinations, 48 of which were underserved markets like Gassim and Abha in KSA, Azerbaijan, Romania, South Sudan and Kazan and Ufa in Russia.
Delhi Flight Details:
flydubai will operate four flights a week between Dubai and Delhi starting from 01 June 2014. Flights will depart from Dubai in the evening on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Round trip fares
Economy Class return fares to Delhi will start at AED 875 and include a 7kg hand baggage allowance, while Business Class fares will start at AED 2,100 and are inclusive of all taxes and 40kg checked baggage.
Kochi Flight Details:
flydubai will operate three flights a week between Dubai and Kochi starting from 02 June 2014.Flights will depart from Dubai in the evening on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Round trip fares
Economy Class return fares to Kochi will start at AED 950 and include a 7kg hand baggage allowance, while Business Class fares will start at AED 2,700 and are inclusive of all taxes and 40kg checked baggage.
Thiruvananthapuram Flight Details:
flydubai will operate three flights a week between Dubai and Thiruvananthapuramstarting from 03 June 2014. Flights will depart from Dubai on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Economy Class return fares to Thiruvananthapuram will start at AED 950 and include a 7kg hand baggage allowance, while Business Class fares will start at AED 2,700 and are inclusive of all taxes and 40kg checked baggage.
