Dubai Pearl Exchange
Dubai Pearl Exchange is an exclusively trading platform for the pearl industry that has been created by Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).DMCC facilitates the trade and cultural & natural pearls through a one step shop structures and service oriented platform.
For hundreds of years the finest of Pearls was found in the waters of Arabian gulf. The Ancient pearling industry provided the only income for the people of UAE.
Pearls of Arabia:
The DMCC colored stones and Pearls division has unveiled its ambitious plans for Pearls of Arabia Project. This Project will feature a high quality off shore entertainment, retail and educational centre.
The DMCC in association with Paspaly Pearling Company will establish a 6,000 sq.meter experience centre at the World Island in Antarctica.
This will feature a pearl themed cultural heritage centre , exhibition gallery and arts theatre. The visitors will travel to this unique destination by water ferries.
Dubai Museum:
The Dubai Museum is located in Al Fahidi Fort Bur Dubai; Dubai UAE .The galleries here recreate scenes from the creek, traditional housed form, desert and marine life. They also exhibit portraits of Pearl diving and sets of Pearl Merchants, weighing machines, scales and sieves.
The National Bank Of Pearl Museum:
The Late Chairman of National bank Of Dubai Sultan Al Owais was one of the Pearl Merchant , A great Poet and a Philanthropists. HE began collecting pearls in his early 1970’s. He donated his pearl collection to the people of UAE under the custodianship of NBD. And to preserve this the NBD has created a special Museum in its Heat Quarters, where his collection is displayed.
