The Desert Course
The new facility covers an area of 35,000 sq. ft. and features conference rooms for seminars besides accommodation for students. More importantly, the Clubhouse will be the headquarters of the UAE Golf Association and National Golf Centre.The 18-hole championship course forms the centrepiece of the golf and equestrian themed development and is the region’s first truly desert course. It will be a star attraction for the residents of Arabian Ranches, golf enthusiasts and visitors to Dubai from all over the globe.
The Desert Course provides one of the most testing courses for golfers. Measuring 7,691 yards from the black championship tees, there are a further four tee boxes catering to all levels of proficiency – gold for the better amateurs (measuring 7,092 yards), separate blue (6,531 yards) and white tees (5,853 yards) for societies and daily green fee players and the ladies for a distance of 5,226 yards.
A unique Spanish architectural design has been used to impart a distinct classical look to the clubhouse. Rich luxurious interiors characterise the spacious lobby and the deluxe rooms designed to offer optimum convenience and comfort to the guests.
Clubhouse
In addition to accommodation, the clubhouse boasts a Golf Academy which will house the golf reservation desk, men’s and ladies changing and shower rooms, a fully equipped pro shop with an extensive range of apparel and golf equipment, two air-conditioned swing rooms (with automatic gates to open up to driving range for additional comfort level for students), a full restaurant and bar service (operated by Jebel Ali International), a driving range with short game practice/teaching area as well as a practice putting green.
Junior Coaching Programme
Full Day Classes
Full Day classes are available to established golfers with on course experience. During the two day course all aspects of the game will be covered, full swing, pitching, chipping bunkers, putting, course management and a tournament over 9 holes on the second day with great prizes to be won.
Video analysis will be used during coaching sessions, along with print outs of your golf swing and a CD made up of your swing that will be a valuable learning tool. All video analysis will be in our air-conditioned teaching studio.
Full Day classes Dhs 545 per Junior
Half Day Classes
Half Day classes are available for beginners or newcomers to the game. During the two day course all aspects of the game will be covered, full swing, pitching, chipping, bunkers and putting. Various tournaments will be run over the second day with great prizes to be won.
