Key upcoming events in Dubai
There is never a dull month in Dubai and there is always something happening. It continues to be a hugely popular destination of choice for many and provides some of the best hotels and luxury that the world has to offer. So what is there to actually do in Dubai? Here we cover a number of the key upcoming events that are taking place.
One event that is not in Dubai but also in the middle east is the Athletic World Championships. They are being held in Doha, Qatar between the 27th September and 6th October. This is set to be an incredible spectacle, taking place inside the newly renovated multi-purpose Khalifa International stadium. Fans are expected to be travelling in their numbers to watch the event and if in Dubai you could make the journey over there. The roulettegeeks are already offering prices on the event as the USA team will be expected to dominate.
September is a fantastic month in Dubai for theatre and entertainment. You could look at experiencing a night at La Perle. This is a gravity-defying live show, that continues to draw audiences from around the world. This show uses state of the art technology, which provides audiences with a new era of theatre experience. You can also catch one of Dubai Opera’s shows that take place down town.

October in Dubai is set to be all about the Dubai Fitness Challenge. This is entering its third year and encourages all individuals to perform 30 minutes of physical activity for 30 days in succession, to promote healthier living. There will be a carnival around the city, as well as group sessions and free fitness classes to take part in. Also in October, will see the debut of the award winning production, Phantom of the Opera. This will be taking place from October 16th inside the Dubai Opera.
November includes the Dubai Design week, which provides the region’s largest creative festival. The six day event showcases innovative designs from graduate students and there are many workshops and interactive installations also available. In November, there will also be a show by Mica Paris, in which she commemorates the life of Aretha Franklin through a show at the Dubai Opera on the 14th of November.
December is then all about celebration in Dubai. There will be many activities and performances taking place around the city, marking the UAE National day. The Rugby sevens will also be taking place in the city.
